CareAcross is a digital health startup focusing on cancer.
We dream of a world where the word “cancer” only refers to a zodiac sign.
Our vision is to facilitate faster, more effective oncology research through data analysis and interactions that will improve quality of life of patients and caregivers.
Our mission is to support people affected by cancer through reliable information and guidance from experts, interactive tools & psychological support.
What is special about CareAcross?
CareAcross is a funded startup bringing together decades of expertise in business, technology and medicine in a global scale, to help fight cancer.
We have been recognized, among others, by:
- the LiveStrong Foundation (semifinalists in the global competition)
- the MIT Enterprise Forum (finalists in the Greek startup competition)
- the National Bank of Greece (prize winners in the i-bank startup competition)
Finally, CareAcross is a member of MassChallenge, the world’s largest accelerator program.
And what about you?
You are a Ruby on Rails developer, with great appetite for learning new things and applying them to make a difference in people’s lives.
You believe that technology can improve the quality of life of cancer patients - for instance through Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and dynamic programming.
This is an opportunity for real impact at an early stage venture, in a very promising field, building something you can be immensely proud of.
We are looking for:
- Hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails
- Database management experience, especially PostgreSQL
We know you’re proud of your work, so please don’t forget to send us links to the web sites you have worked on, and your corresponding roles.
Grow: We work with leading edge technologies like Ruby on Rails, and Platform as a Service infrastructure on the cloud. We will listen to your professional goals and help you reach them through role expansion, active coaching and bi-directional feedback (which helps everyone else, too!).
Learn: We will provide the formal and informal training necessary for mutual success.
Earn: Competitive salary and stock options.
